Hope Cooper

Hope Cooper is based in Concord MA, and Wellington FL in the winter. She is 28 years old. She is the co-head trainer and manages Bear Spot Farm with her Mother and life-long trainer Jane Karol. Hope also works very closely with her mentor and trainer Christoph Koschel and has also trained closely with Isabell Werth. Hope adores her relationships with her horses and loves training horses up the levels.

Education

-2020 Graduated Connecticut College with a BA, Triple Major in Behavioral Neuroscience, Dance, Africana Studies

-2024 Graduated William James School of Psychology with a Masters in Organizational Psychology

2025/26 Plan and Horses:

Quintus G (Q):  8 year old Chacco Blue - Young horse PSG in the beginning of the Florida season.

 O’Romeo S (Ollie, owned by the Richard/ Dicks Family): 6 year old out of UB40. Hoping to do the 7 year olds with him and go for WBC in 2026.

Kenzo (Pietje): 11 year old Dream Boy Owned by Martina R.  Peitje started his dressage career later in life and will soon be ready for his first PSG hopefully a small tour CDI this season.

 Jorrit (Jay): 11 Year old KWPN Owned by Rose Keller. First season in GP hopefully!

YR Years:

YR Individual and Team Bronze on Don Diamond

Trained both YR horses to GP and competed them in the U25 and GP; Hot Chocolate and Don Diamond

U25 Years:

2X represented USA on the U25 Nations Cup team with Hot Chocolate W.

Individual Gold Medalist U25 Nations Cup Wellington 2021 with Hot Chocolate W.

Summer training with Isabell Werth 2021

Number 1 and 2 U25 in the US 2021 with Hot Chocolate W. and Don Diamond

Qualified 2X to be anchor for the Aachen U25 USA team- sadly was canceled both times due to COVID and an Olympic year.

Senior GP:

2022 Hot Chocolate W. first CDI 3* freestyle win (Senior Tour)  AGDF

Qualified two horses I trained myself from 6 years old on for Developing GP at Lamplight 2023 (both in the top ten) With Destar and Tripple X

Many scores and placings up to 69% in open GP CDIs 3* and 4* with Flynn PCH

(March 2024) Ranked #9 on the non-final Paris Ranking list with Flynn PCH

World Young Horse Championships:

2025 6 year old division.

Representing Team USA- directly to the final (top 12) and then 12th place finish in the final. Record breaking for USA. With O’Romeo S- 6 year old stallion.

Trained many horse for clients to show and compete from young horses through to the GP.
