Hallie Coon

  • Originally from Brunswick Maine, Hallie moved to Ocala, Florida to pursue her riding career at the age of just 16. Training with coaches such as Olympic Individual gold medallists David O’Connor (Sydney 2000) and Leslie Law (Athens 2004), she quickly moved through the levels and was competing successfully at the Advanced / 4* level by the age of 17.  In 2017, she was awarded the Essex Competition Grant, and in 2018 she was awarded the Karen Stives fund, enabling her to travel to the UK to compete in the British leg of the Nations Cup series at Houghton Hall where she led the team to a second place finish (the first top Nations Cup finish for the Americans in over a decade)

She then went on to the Bramham Under 25 Championships, where she was the only American to jump clear across the country.

After a successful spring campaign, Hallie decided extend her stay in the UK, in order to compete at her first five star at Pau, culminating in a competitive finish there and again being the only American clear across the country in a very competitive contingent.

After a strong finish at Pau, Hallie made the cut for the High Performance training list in 2019 after being on the Under 25 list for several years.

In 2022, after some major life changes, Hallie was awarded another very generous grant by US Eventing; this time in the form of the Wilton Fair Fund, and was able to pick up and move her base to the UK in order to raise the bar competitively.

“2025 has been a year full of triumphs, whilst patiently laying the groundwork for the future with her amazing young team of horses. With a firm foundation in place for 2026, and thanks to the hard work we’ve put in as a team, I am very excited for the coming year.”
